Ok, finally I have been able to surprise Cynthia.
This is Cynthia's Christmas/Anniversary gift from me. You may remember the sapphire crystal that was her GG graduation gift in Feb 07. Well, I stole it and worked with the jewelers at her store to create this ring. I drew the design and the jeweler made it more practical and did the benchwork (wax-carving, casting, setting). It was a hand-carved wax, not a CADCAM, which is nice. I'm really happy with the job they did, because my hand is not good enough to create a ring of this quality, especially in platinum. They did a great job finishing it and maintaining the wavy/watery look I wanted. It looks great on her hand. I'm very pleased. Hope you like it!
