Artist's Comments

A pin based on the design of the Julia Set crop circle from 1996, near Stonehenge. The design is abstracted a bit, out of necessity to keep the design workable, wearable and small. Maybe one day I'll try a more accurate rendering (or of the triple Julia if I'm feeling insane).

I chose to use amber for this because it has beautiful color range and I love the earthliness of amber. The pin is also intentionally themed like The World card from my tarot deck, which is why I chose to photograph it on a green background.

It looks amazing, I like the use of the amber 'cause of the difference in colour of some of the balls. It's very beautiful.

nice ... I like this pin .. the warm colors of the amber are like little flames captured in a stone.

i've always wanted to do something

absolutely stunning! This really is great. The warmth of the amber is beautiful and the design is really inspired. :)

Very nice piece. I like how it is asymetrical. It has very unique feel. I can see this being worn to a formal party of some sort and being a center piece of attention. Very nice work. :+fav:

Wow! I love this piece. Very impressive re-creation of the Julia set.

It's magnificent. You really have got the mastery of stone-setting now. As for capturing the essence of a fractal in jewelry - you've done it! The color-variation of the amber cabs really adds liveliness and interest. Just a perfect piece.

Thank you, I love the color variation too.
