My second attempt at this design, based on the Julia Set crop circle. This was made as a commission for a local doctor who wanted to buy the original, a day after it had sold. It was a Christmas present for his wife.

Its based off a crop circle? That's an awesome idea. It makes for a great abstract piece!

That looks great! It reminds me of some sort of crop-circle design.

You know what else would truly rock? If you made a series of these in gradually different sizes in a self-balancing Alexander-Calder-style "mobile". (Google Images for "calder mobile" if you don't know what I mean.)

I don't (well, didn't) know what you meant. Interesting work. I can see Calder's influence on modern sculpture right away. I think those diminishing hanging things are an interesting concept, though I'm not sure I could make his art into jewelry better than he did himself :). I like his jewelry a lot.

(btw, it is a crop circle design. you guessed it :winner:. The Julia Set.)
