Aquamarine Engagement Ring

We were honored to be commissioned by ~hoshikaze and her fiancee to create her engagement ring! This is the first time we've taken on such an important project, and it really was a group effort. ~hoshikaze first of all wanted a blue stone. With a little guidance from me and some consultation of the stone's spiritual significance, she selected a very lovely brilliant-cut aquamarine (I can't for the life of me remember the carat weight, but it's over 1 carat, I believe). Together we puttered around with the design, settling on a more traditional prong setting, and a lovely floral-patterned wire for the ring band. Henry did the construction of the ring itself, as the whole idea was sparked by this ring, the shape of which both Hoshi and her fiancee liked. From start to finish it's been a very interesting process, and we're proud of the result.
